Sciatica is the pain traveling along the path of the sciatic nerve from the back down the legs. It is also sometimes referred to as lumbar radiculopathy. It can be caused by lumbar stenosis, lumbar herniated disc, lumbar spine fracture or lumbar spondylolisthesis.
